Michael Bonella is hugely talented at what he does. I've been training with Michael for about 10 months. When I started I had just started to get back into fitness - I would run on the treadmill, take some classes, or half-ass it with weights. In the 10 months I've been working with Michael, I've become the most fit I've ever been in my entire life. I previously had difficulty doing a single pull up, now I can do 6. So I recently engaged Michael Bonella to obtain a Dexa Scan Body Composition Analysis, RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) Test, VO2 Max Test and Fit3D Posture Scan. What I learned from these tests was invaluable in helping me determine the most strategic and safe nutritional, cardio and strength training recommendations for my body to get me lean (under 10% body fat) and ripped for an important photoshoot.

The DEXA scan is cool but the real life changing data came from doing the RMR and VO2. I had no idea that I was not eating enough food and that I was working TOO HARD on the treadmill.
Michael was able to show me my personalized fat burning zone, the heart rate where I was burning no fat and all muscle as well as my baseline need of calories. He showed me how to use My Fitness Pal to track my food and set my macros. He also showed me where to buy a heart rate monitor on amazon and how to use it during my workouts.
I have gained two pounds of muscle working with my trainer and I have lost TEN POUNDS of body fat!!! I cried. My trainer cried. Thank you for making this possible!

Michael will be highly attentive from the moment you start working with him. He plans each workout carefully and then watches during each rep to make sure your form is correct and that you're getting the most out of each session (he must have reminded me 100 times to keep my left shoulder back). He'll push you hard so that you perform your best, but never too hard so that you feel overwhelmed or end up overtraining. Lastly, he's also a great guy. Fun to be around and full of positive energy. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trainer.
